Duromine is a prescription appetite suppressant used as part of a doctor-supervised weight-management programme for patients who are obese or overweight. Your doctor will assess whether Duromine is suitable for you.

Duromine works by affecting the area of the brain responsible for appetite control, helping you feel less hungry and making it easier to follow a reduced-calorie eating plan.

How to take Duromine

For adults and adolescents over 12 years of age, the usual dose is one capsule once daily. Your doctor will determine the correct strength, dosage and treatment duration for your individual needs.

Do not increase the prescribed dose. Taking more Duromine may not result in faster or greater weight loss and may increase the risk of side effects.

When to take it

Take Duromine first thing in the morning, preferably at breakfast time, to reduce the likelihood of it affecting your sleep.

Take the capsule at approximately the same time every day for the best effect and to help you remember your dose. Duromine may be taken before or after food.

Important information

Duromine is not recommended for:

Children younger than 12 years
Elderly patients
Anyone who has not been assessed and prescribed the medicine by a qualified healthcare professional
